COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan

The Van Buren County Road Commission (“VBCRC”) takes the health and safety of its employees very seriously.  With the spread of the coronavirus or “COVID-19,” the VBCRC must remain vigilant in mitigating the outbreak.  VBCRC is deemed “essential” during this Declared National Emergency, under both state and local orders.  Pursuant to Section 1(a) of Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-114, we have developed this COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan (“Plan”) to be implemented throughout VBCRC and at all our job sites. Safety, in all aspects, is the top priority of VBCRC.
This Plan is based on information currently available from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) at the time of its development, and is subject to change based on further information provided by the CDC, MIOSHA, and/or other public officials. VBCRC may also amend this Plan based upon operational needs and subsequent state and local orders.
