Throughout her career, Trisha Nesbitt has served the families of Van Buren County at the state and local level, presently as Van Buren County Treasurer, a position she has held since 2019. As Treasurer, Trisha focuses on stabilizing property values, preventing tax foreclosures, and prudent stewardship and investment of Van Buren County taxpayer dollars.
Trisha, a graduate of Michigan State University, has served as Chief of Staff for Senator Tonya Schuitmaker (R – Lawton), and has extensive knowledge of the legislative process and experience in constituent services. She is also a graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program, a year-long bipartisan program that identifies individuals from across the state committed to community service and brings them together to engage in public policy and leadership.
