Van Buren County Road Commission - Permits
 VBCRC Logo [Click here to view full size picture] Permits are required for various operations on or near the Van Buren County road system such as:
· Working within the County right-of-way.
· Boring under a county road.
· Moving oversized or overweight equipment.
· Installing a new driveway.
· Changing the use of an existing driveway, such as converting it from a field drive to a residential drive,pouring concret, or paving an existing driveway.
· Prior to receiving a Building Permit (consult with the Township).

Citations will be issued for failing to have the proper permits.

These fines can be substantial and, in some cases, may result in the impounding of equipment.

NOTICE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF FEE SCHEDULE

The Van Buren County Road Commission will implement a Fee Schedule Policy effective April 1, 2007. This Fee Schedule more comprehensively addresses application/permit fees for utilities, transportation, maintenance, and other Road Commission authorized work, as well as photocopies, plotter prints, etc., in order to allow the Road Commission to recover a portion of its necessary and actual costs for the issuance of permits and for review of the proposed activity, inspection and related expenses
