Volunteer Information
Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks in the Black River Watershed Project.

Some tasks include:
  • Committee Participation (see below)
  • Help review and update Watershed Management Plan
  • Assist with installing stremabank wildflower plantings
  • Help mark storm drains with "Don't dump-drains to river" stickers
  • Write newsletter articles
  • Help with water quality monitoring
  • Publicity
  • Flyer and brochure distribution
  • Giving public presentations
  • General office help

  • Stakeholder/Watershed Assembly
    General public meeting open to anyone interested in the project.

  • Steering Committee
    Members who help "steer" the management plan and can help make changes within the watershed. (Ideal for city and ownship officials, and/or representatives of local organizations, etc.)
