Low Impact Development (LID) is an ecologically friendly approach to site development and stormwater management that aims to lessen impacts to land, water and air. The approach emphasizes the integration of site design and planning techniques that conserve natural systems and hydrologic functions on a site.

This workshop will:
  • Introduce attendees to some of the techniques that can be used in Low Impact Developments
  • Describe the many benefits associated with LID (such as reduced development costs, protection of water quality and wildlife habitat, and increased marketability)
