Department of Natural Resources
The Department of Natural Resources is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state's natural resources for current and future generations.
DNR History
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources had its beginnings in the early 1800s, when most people thought the natural resources were there for the taking. When it was discovered that there wasn't, in fact, an endless supply of resources, Michigan citizens worked to protect what was left.
The DNR Plainwell District Office can be contacted at (269) 685-6851.
