Human Resources/Employment Opportunities

The Van Buren County Human Resources Department is responsible for recruiting and hiring employees; maintaining all personnel records; administering fringe benefit programs; and conducting classification and compensation surveys. The Department negotiates labor contracts with the various county bargaining units, and is responsible for grievance resolution and contract administration.

Mission Statement

The Human Resources Department works with labor organizations, County departments, County employees and the public to create a diverse, effective work force. Each employee of the Department commits to deliver services in an ethical, non-discriminatory manner, continuously striving for quality improvement.
