Lighthouse Keepers House (Michigan Maritime Museum) [Click here to view full size picture] 91 Michigan Avenue
South Haven

South Haven's lightkeepers lived in this hilltop residence, built in 1872 by the Lighthouse Service. Over time it provided a home for six keepers and their families, and since 1939, for U.S. Coast Guard personnel. It is the only surviving keeper's dwelling in Michigan that once served as a pier lighthouse.
