Target and Wal-Mart have a $4 prescription drug plan. This plan is designed so that anyone can take part in the program, whether they have insurance or not. The plan is only available on select generic drugs, and each store has provided a list on their website. We have provided the links below to check on the most current lists of drugs covered by each retailer.

The $4 plan applies to select generic drugs, up to a 30 day supply. It is suggested by both retailers that before you have a prescription filled, call ahead and verify the prescription qualifies for the plan. Some pharmacies may require that your prescription be picked up in person, as mail order prescriptions do not qualify.

Meijer has also offered a savings plan for their prescriptions. The Meijer plan offers select oral generic brand antibiotics, with a special focus on the prescriptions most often filled for children, at NO CHARGE. This is a “no strings attached” program regardless of insurance or co-pays. Just take your prescription to any Meijer pharmacy and receive the designated antibiotic FREE of charge. As mentioned before, it is a good idea to call ahead to verify that your prescription qualifies. A link to their website has also been provided.
