Finance Committee meeting
April 29, 2006
Meeting Called to order at 9:15am

Present: Webster, Keyser, Wilson, Utter, Schaut.

Absent: None

Mr. Wilson introduced Ms. Janet Utter to the Committee. Ms. Utter was appointed to position of Village Treasurer at the April 11, 2006 Council Meeting.

Committee discussed:
• Discrepancies on the Water & Sewer Accounting balance sheets relating to the posting of CD’s.
• Concern by members regarding accuracy of other accounting being completed by current office staff.
• Recommendation will be made to the council to hire an independent accountant to come in to the village office and review / revise our computer accounting programs as needed.
Mark Wilson will contact outside firms to get prices to complete this work.
• Reviewed duties / responsibilities for the Village Treasurer.
• Reviewed new computer bids for the Village Office.
• Ken will contact Karen Makay, County Treasurer, to find out the Public Hearing date requirement for the Truth & Taxation Millage.
• The Committee briefly discussed Wade Trim Operations Proposal to fill the position of Administrative Assistant which will replace Monique’s Village position when she retires.
