Economic Vitality Incentive Program (EVIP)

Top
In order for Geneva Township to receive a portion of Revenue Sharing from the State of Michigan we must comply with the Economic Vitality Incentive Program - EVIP. Attached to this site is the EVIP - Certification of Consolidation of Services; Letter to Michigan Department of Treasury defining the Certification of Consolidation of Services; Spread sheet further defining the Certification of Consolidation of Services. The consolidation of services does not necessarily define a monetary savings to Geneva Township BUT with the joint efforts of surrounding muncipalities in combination of services provides BETTER services for each individual municipality that we could not provide as individual units. Efforts to combine services promotes the Health, Safety and Welfare of our areas. In 2012 Geneva is applying for a grant from the Department of Environmental Quality for a scrap tire drive. We are seeking funds to do this drive and hopefully involving Bangor and South Haven Townships in this effort to further consolidate services for the betterment of our communities. We are also working with the Van Buren County Road Commission in effort to upgrade CR 380 within Geneva Township to enhance the safety of the traveling public within our area. If you have any questions, please contact, Nancy Whaley, Supervisor, 269-427-7607 or by email to geneva8009@yahoo.com.
