Homeless Awareness Week 2006 - November 10-19
During the 2005 Homeless Awareness Week, the Van Buren County CoC hosted a Personal Care Drive.

Four county locations agreed to serve as drop-off sites for donated items from November 14-17, Monday through Thursday. These locations included:
Curves in Bangor
Hartford Middle School
South Haven High School
Van Buren County MSU Extension Office in Paw Paw

Personal care items such as soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, diapers, shampoo and conditioner, etc. were delivered to drop-off sites during regular operating hours during the drive. Items were sorted and picked up by the shelter in Decatur for distribution to those in need.

Thank you to all those who donated items, and to those who were gracious enough to offer their space to collect items during the drive. We truly appreciate your generosity.

Contact Greta Williams at vbcuw@vbisd.org to offer assistance for 2006.
