Van Buren County has received 2006 Housing Resource Fund dollars in order to assist low to moderate income homeowners in the county to make needed repairs to their homes. As in 2004-2005, the county will work with the Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency (SMCAA) to administer the grant. The current application cycle is closed. Applicants were selected using a lottery.

Ride Van Buren County Trails

Enjoy autumn 2006 on Van Buren County Trails. Colorful foliage makes fall a favorite time of year for outdoor enthusiasts, and County trails are a great place to take in a color tour while engaging in some physical activity. For questions or concerns, contact the Van Buren County Road Commission at 269.674.8011.

Don't forget that trail passes are required for use of both the Kal-Haven and Van Buren Trails. Passes are available through the Van Buren County Road Commission, at the trailheads, and at vendor locations along the trails. All proceeds return to the trail.
