GENERAL INFORMATION:


Spring Clean-up will begin May 3 and continue until May 6, 2010. Vouchers, good for one pickup truck load, are issued at the Clerks Office, 125 S. Main Street, from the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Household trash may be dropped off behind the DPW building between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. We cannot accept batteries, tires, paint, hazardous materials, motor oil or garbage. Home pick-up is available for senior citizen and handicapped residents.

***NOTICE*** New for the 2010 Spring Clean-Up.Vouchers will be available for the recycling of Electronics or (E-Waste). Items such as household and office small appliances, microwaves, cell phones, gaming units, ipds/MP3 players, power tools, and computer components suach as batteries, keyboards, laptops, monitors, modems, printers and scanners. Televisions will be accepted for recycling with a requested donation of $10 per unit.

Monthly Brush Pick-up begins on the first Friday of each month. Grass clippings, leaves, twigs, etc. must be placed ONLY in bio-degradable bags available at the Clerks Office. All bags, limbs, and brush should be neatly piled at curbside a few days before.

Fall Leaf Vacuuming begins the middle of October and ends the middle of November. Leaves should be raked to the edge of the street, with brush or twigs piled separately. Specific dates will be published in the Paw Paw Flashes.
