Fuelwood Permit Program
Kal-Haven Trail & Van Buren Trail to start a free firewood program

Due to numerous request to harvest down trees on the Kal-Haven & Van Buren trails we are implementing a permit system to allow the public to pick up fuelwood along the trails after obtaining a "Fuelwood Permit". This permit will allow access to the trail for the purpose of removing felled trees only. This permit will not authorize the cutting of trees on the trails but it will allow the permit holder to pick up wood that is laying along the trail.

You can download the permit listed below and submit it to the Van Buren County Road Commission main office for consideration. Only a limited number of permits will be issued for specific areas of the trails.
