Marriage Certificates
MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES:

Marriage records are available beginning with the year 1836, for licenses applied for, and subsequently filed with the Van Buren County Clerk.
To request a copy of a marriage certificate in person, simply provide the following:

· Names of individuals on marriage license (including woman’s birth name)
· Approximate date of marriage (within 5 years)
· Appropriate fee (check or money order)

Mail requests for a marriage certificate must include the following:

· Names of individuals on marriage license (including woman’s birth name)
· Approximate date of marriage
· Appropriate fee (check or money order)

Fees for Marriage certificates are:

· $13.00 for first certified copy
· $ 4.00 for each additional certified copy
· Checks should be made payable to Van Buren County Clerk

The Van Buren County Clerk accepts cash, checks or money orders only at this time.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH THROUGH THE MAIL.
